Hublot SIHH 2015 New Watches: New Big Bang & Classic Fusion Watches

Hublot is not technically a show participant at SIHH 2015. Yet, it releases the first look of some of its new watches at the watch fair in Geneva. Hublot has introduced 6 new models at SIHH 2015, but its bigger and most anticipated works like the new Ferrari watch 2015 will only be shown at Baselworld 2015 (hopefully).

Here’s a quick lowdown of the new Big Bang and Classic Fusion models from Hublot SIHH 2015 or shall I put it as Hublot Pre-Basel 2015? A varied portfolio with Moon -phase in an ultra modern watch and a Hublot ladies watch with grandma’s embroidery!

All of these watches will be available for sale by February 2015, ie. before Baselworld watch fair in Basel, this year.

1) Hublot SIHH 2015: Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon 5-Day Power Reserve Indicator

hublot SIHH 2015

This is the first Tourbillon in the new generation Big Bang line. This Hublot SIHH 2015 watch features a beautiful skeleton movement and an added practical power-reserve indicator on the dial side. This Big Bang comes wrapped in a 45 mm diameter dial case. It is made in two metal options. One is King Gold and the other is Titanium. Both are limited to 99 pieces. Like a lot of new Hublot watches, this one too has a unique bracelet attachment system which allows the bracelet to be switched quickly and easily while guaranteeing optimal security. Hublot proprietary movement is a traditional tourbillon with a cage measuring 13.6 mm in diameter – a minute tourbillon that performs one revolution every minute – and whose construction featuring a barrette on the dial side ensures its stability. It has been specially fitted with a practical power reserve indicator, visible on the dial side, and has also been remodelled with new bridge and main plate architecture. Hublot SIHH 2015 watch Tourbillon is water resistant to 30 meters.

This Hublot gold watch is the most expensive of the Hublot SIHH 2015 lot priced at INR 7300000 or 100000 CHF or USD 115020 !!

2) Hublot SIHH 2015: Hublot Classic Fusion Aeromoon

A Hublot Classic Fusion with a moon phase, sigh! I am happy to see such models be produced. It’s a good way to introduce moon phase, a tasteful complication, to several younger swiss watch enthusiasts who are resolute on not buying any other brand that is not a Hublot or AP, because the rest look like they are made for ‘old people’. (Yes, I have had many young watch buyers say this to me when I suggest classic grand complication watches to buy).

Let’s admire this watch a bit, now. Commanding a central position, the moon phases serve as a reminder that, long before time was measured in hours, minutes and seconds, the moon was used to track the passage of time. Hublot has revisited this complication, dressing it in lunar greys for a modern, stylish twist. The lunar cycle is reproduced in a 13 mm diameter round window at 6 o’clock. The two moons appear in turn thanks to its partially frosted glass. This disc performs one revolution (every 29.5 days) over two lunar months and is driven by a 59-tooth wheel which advances one tooth every 24 hours.

The opening produces a beautiful impression of depth, revealing two convex spherical moons. Around the edge of the moon display, a simple date with semi-instantaneous display. Offering optimal readability, the day and month indications have been placed at 12 o’clock in two large skeleton windows. The sapphire dial reveals the mechanical beauty of the piece. The date, day and month discs are skeletonized. The black, grey and anthracite tones further emphasise the mechanism’s impression of depth.

This watch, too is for bigger wwists. With a diameter of 45 mm, two versions are available in King Gold and Titanium.4 integrated correctors sit either side of the case (2 o’clock: month correction, 4 o’clock: moon correction, 8 o’clock: date correction, 10 o’clock: day correction), with the time set using the crown. The piece is finished with a black strap in alligator leather sewn onto rubber. Price of Hublot Moonphase 2015 watch is Rupees 2211900 or 30300 CHF or USD 34851 for Gold   and Titanium model comes at Rupees INR 1116900 or 15300 CHF or 17598 USD  .

3) Hublot Geneva 2015 Watch Fair Launch: Ladies Hublot SIHH 2015

hublot SIHH 2015 ladies watch Big Bang Broderie

Sized at 41mm, these ladies Hublot 2015 Big Bang watches come in three styles. Two are shown in the picture. Steel Diamonds , Yellow Gold Diamonds ..and All Black diamonds. All are limited to 200 pieces, each style.

What’s that pattern on the strap, you ask? Its grandma’s embroidery! Yes that’s right!! Paying homage to the memory of our grandmothers’ needlework with this fine St. Gallen embroidery –an ancestral art which is 100% Swiss Made – created by Bischoff, the leading Maison Suisse.

After the embroidered elements produced in St. Gallen were delivered to Hublot in the canton of Vaud, part of the solution was found and developed in the Jura: in a process akin to the manufacture of high-tech carbon fibre components, the elements embroidered on tulle are encased and moulded – like a stack of sheets – in carbon fibre to amplify the texture. The process is new and exclusive.

All three version of Hublot 2015 ladies Big bang watch have 198 diamonds weighing about 1.12 carats. The watches run on self-winding or automatic power mechanism and have about 42 hours of power reserve. The Hublot Ladies Watch 2015 price is INR 2474700 or 33900 CHF or USD 38991 (Yellow Gold).
