Featuring a sophisticated case and a stellar movement, the Reverso Tribute Gyrotourbillon is a fine example of artistic watchmaking. Beating steadily within is the calibre 179 manually-wound movement, developed and produced in the Manufacture. It features the brand new Gyrotourbillon. Appearing to be floating in mid-air, it gives a magnificent view of superlative architecture of the timepiece. Thanks to its slim form, the timepiece gets trimmer by 30 per cent in width and thickness. This is a remarkable achievement considering the Grande Complication that is encased within. The two carriages of this bi-axial flying tourbillion perform an external rotation in one minute and take 12.6 seconds for an internal rotation. The balance-spring is a piece of art and has received accolades for its delicate and exquisite form. This together with the Gyrolab balance-wheel enables considerable reduction in air friction. The result is envious accuracy.
SIHH 2016 JLC : Features of the Reverso Tribute Gyrotourbillon
Like all Reverso watches, the front and back of the dial are beautifully adorned. While the front of the Reverso Tribute Gyrotourbillon features a finely grained white round dial, the back is a magnificent demonstration of the art of engraving. The dial is further highlighted by blued steel Dauphine-type hands, day/night indicator and a unique graduated disc rotating at the cadence of the Gyrotourbillon to indicate seconds. What is also enchanting is the hand-crafted sunburst guilloche pattern. As one swivels the case, the gorgeous back is revealed. The curvaceous cradle is also adorned with a sunburst guilloche motif.
