Roger Dubuis Ladies Jewellery Watch SIHH 2016: Blossom Velvet Pink Flowers
The watch is made keeping the theme of the Roger Dubuis Velvet collection in mind. Similar to the other watches in the collection, it has the same basic case design with diamond studded bezels and lugs. But what sets this watch apart is the beautiful floral design on the dial. The mother-of-pearl dial is engraved and sculpted with floral marquetry design. Delicate and colourful in appearance, the design includes pink colour flowers with red and lavender coloured petals. Diamonds at the centre of the flowers adds to the bling factor. Tonneau-shaped central dial is neatly placed in the centre of the dial. It is framed with 48 stunning cut-diamonds that makes the central dial stand out. The curly flower stems and the hands to indicate time are both made in pink gold.
The Blossom Velvet Pink comes in a lovely soft 36 mm pink gold case. A total of 86 diamonds are used to decorate bezels and lugs of pink dial watch to be shown at SIHH 2016. Roger Dubuis believes that women appreciate outer beauty as much as inner technical sophistication. Hence, the watch is equipped with the self-winding calibre RD821. Poinçon de Genève quality mark inscribed on the dial is a testament of the good quality of the movement. The seal is the official certification that assures the quality of the timepiece in terms of the craftsmanship, precision and functionality. Each of the pink flower dial diamond watch is individually checked and then given the certification. Mechanical movement has a power reserve of 48 hours.
To suit the delicate wrists, Pink diamond watch’s strap is made of satin-finished fabric. Blushing pink coloured strap features 14 diamonds on the clasp. And, it matches perfectly with the floral backdrop. Blossom Velvet Pink will be produced in a limited edition of only 88 pieces.
Roger Dubuis 2016 Collection Revealed: Velvet Secret Heart Watch in Blue
Watches with blue dial stand-out and are fashionably more in demand. Hence, Roger Dubuis decided to add the Velvet Secret Heart watch to the Roger Dubuis 2016 watch collection. This is an intriguing ladies watch featuring a blue sunburst dial. The face of the watch is decorated with not one but two rows of sparkling diamonds. It includes a total of 46 dazzling cut diamonds that will brighten up any dark room. But, the most fascinating part of the timepiece is the double-retrograde jumping date function. It is the first ‘small complication’ featured on any watches from the Velvet collection.
Unconventionally, dial of this blue Roger Dubuis watch features two different hands to indicate the date. Only one of the two hands is visible at all times. So why two hands? The small red hand travels from the top to the bottom, as days pass by. As soon as it reaches at the end its path, the hand jumps back to the starting point and disappears entirely. Second red hand then takes over to indicate the date. Even though the blue dial SIHH 2016 ladies watch comes in a medium size case (36 mm case), the readability of the date indicator is excellent. Roger Dubuis Pre-SIHH 2016 Carbon Watch: Excalibur Skeleton Automatic
One glance at this Roger Dubuis 2016 watch and one instantly feels it’s a watch made for a warrior or a gladiator. The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Automatic Skeleton watch was first introduced in SIHH last year. The signature skeletonised look was seen for the first time in a non-tourbillon watch. This is the carbon fiber cased version of the very same watch. In fact, this is the first time Roger Dubuis has used carbon fiber as a material for the watch case. It makes the watch much lighter on the wrist and gives it a tough look.
The case is 42 mm in width and 12.14 mm thick, making it a nice size for a sports model. The Roger Dubuis grey dial watch is powered by RD820SQ caliber. It is the skeletonised form of the self-winding RD820 caliber which was released back in 2005. It features a micro-rotor which is visible from the dial side on the top left corner. Made of 167 individual parts, the caliber produces 60 hours of power reserve. Roger Dubuis 2016 men’s watch live movement functioning is a feast for the eyes.
