Contact Smart Google Lenses to Measure Glucose?

Wearable gadgets will change our outlook towards technology especially with Smart Google Lenses (smart contact lenses). The rising demand of Google Glasses has given the company a boast to build more products that will appeal to masses as useful perhaps even necessary, wearable gadgets. Google is now testing smart contact lenses that will be smart enough to measure your glucose levels. How? With your tears! That simple!

This smart Google Lenses will comprise of  tiny wireless chip and miniaturized glucose sensor that are embedded between two layers of soft contact lens material.

Perhaps harmless LED light attached to the lens will be able to indicate the rise or drop of glucose level.

This smart Google lens product is still at the prototype level. It will take time for it to reach the mass consumer. The lens still needs applications developed that will enable doctors to detect patient’s glucose level wirelessly without the patient taking effort of measuring manually.
