Premium designs that are biased to luxury driving pleasures. Luxury concept cars shown-off at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2013 boast of inbuilt technology, that could more than satisfy the necessity of staying connected while on the move. Here’s a quick look at the Concept auto works at Frankfurt Motor Show 2013 IAA
Lexus LF-NX: Jaw dropping design combined with wishful technology. The Lexus LF-NX is worth waiting for the pre booking. Unleashed at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2013, IAA, Lexus showed what magic it can create with hybrids. This new variant of hybrid drive is designed to power SUVs, mid sized crossover vehicles.
The Lexus LF-NX concept is completed with Brushed Metal Silver exterior colour which could make one believe that the bodyshell has been carved from a single billet of solid metal.
There are independent day time running lights and steeply raked tail lights. The rare boasts of highly articulated lamp clusters making it a jewel among Luxury concept cars.
The cockpit of the car looks tempting with the upper display zone and lower operation zone dashboard combined with touch-sensitive electrostatic switches and a new touch pad Remote Touch Interface design.
Infinity Q30: Q30 is a concept for a compact vehicle that is a fusion of a Coupe, Hatch and Crossover. It is designed to catch the attention of younger customers. and built to cater to the premium segment.
Infiniti’s forthcoming compact premium entry will be the first Infiniti model Sebastian Vettel, Infiniti’s Director of Performance, will influence from its inception.
The design is like no other infinity ever made. Bold sections and intersecting lines of its body side play with light and shadow. Its muscular body surfaces evoke lithe and graceful cats, such as the cheetah’s movements of floating grace
The interiors are crafted in dissymmetry to distinguish the brand’s creativity. Dissymmetry, an unconventional approach, orients design features – from air vents and armrests to the instrument clusters. The insides are made with material that try to justifies its targeted presence in the ‘premium’ segment. Sculpted ceramic, integrated in the upper front setbacks for audio speakers. Metal work for seems and leather features with violet stitching.
Among other luxury concept cars, the Q30 Concept exterior incorporates genuine carbon fiber – inspired by the Infiniti Red Bull Racing RB9 Formula One Car. Infiniti violet is used to upscale selected surfaces of carbon fiber elements to give a bold look.
Audi’s Concept Sports Car: Powered by V10 TDI engine, the Audi nanuk quattro concept show car is built to have the sports car features with the best of Audi’s engineering. The engine is a powerful 5.0-liter diesel engine.
The Audi nanuk quattro concept has a curb weight of around 1,900 kilograms. The body design is tough. Audi’s signature is accentuated with the dynamic daytime running lights that also serve as dynamic turn signals.
All control elements, including the controls for the electronically controlled air suspension, the touch-wheel for navigation and multimedia functions and the turn signals, are concentrated on the centre tunnel console and the steering wheel.
Jaguar C-X17: Among the many luxury concept cars, this is my favourite. Jaguar Land Rover has shown one of its best creations, so far, at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new advanced aluminium monocoque architecture with the Jaguar C-X17. A deign one simply cannot cease to admire. The rear of the vehicle has a distinctive touch of sports car about it, with the haunch, taillights and detailing all bringing to mind the the popular Jaguar F-TYPE.
The insides are equally impressive. The C-x17 is a four seater. The roof on top gives a panoramic view of the gorgeous insides. Interestingly, the spacious boot too has been tweaked. Two leisure seats can swing up and out of the boot floor for use when the car is stopped and the rear hatch opened.
The C-X17 has a social networking system inside its interactivity console. Now that’s exactly what the passengers need to interact between each other! Using the touch-screens and a unique user interface, information can be ‘flicked’ between the passengers sitting anywhere from the drivers seat to the rare seat and vice-versa. This interactive Surface Console runs the length of the car’s centre tunnel, from the centre console of the dashboard through to the rear seats. The system can support secure wifi, inside the car.
