Helene Rochas’ exquisite jewellery is set to be auctioned by Christie’s, in Geneva as part of the ‘Magnificent Jewels’ auction, on 12th November. Helene Rochas, is the wife of well-known French fashion designer, Marcel Rochas.
Helene Rochas, praised for her impeccable style and elite taste chose some of the best jewels to adorn herself. A ruby Magnolia brooch is one-of-a-kind piece from Van Cleef & Arpels. This brooch is expected to sell under the hammer for US$190,000-255000.
Another gorgeous brooch of Madam Rocha’s – A Shoulder Tiger by Rene’ Boivin, constructed with diamonds, coloured diamonds and emeralds, could fetch US$190,000-255000, at the auction.
Mrs Rochas met her husband during World War II. She had been Marcel Rochas’ muse, too. Helene Rochas took over the perfume business of Rochas, right after her husband passed away, while she was just 28 years old.
